A great read, thank you for this. Paintings of this era really were amazing, the symbolism is so incredibly rich and the attention to detail is something I personally find very inspiring. I could go on for longer but I’ve procrastinated writing this week’s Stack for long enough, redundantly “organising” my squeakbeast cages. XD
